Ellenton

This is Elliot and I am blogging today because my mum is exhausted from the tiring journey of the last two days.

We woke up to cloudy skies and were disappointed to feel the splash of droplets on our faces. We hurried, attempting to keep all the luggage that we were dragging along dry. When we got to the car, everybody was shouting at each other to be quiet or sit down. It was going to be five and a half hour drive so the kids were all marking their entertainment device.

Throughout the drive the kids started complaining and the driver and navigator started a debate. Finally we got to lunch (steak&shake) at approximately 12:15 p.m. The food was delicious and the amount of food was perfect. The whole family thought it was the best burger joint they knew. The rest of the trip was deadly silent except for a few directions from the navigator and when a device lost all it's charge.

Lunch at Steak & Shake

We arrived at our hotel in Ellenton at approximately 4:00 p.m. We checked in, discovered our surprisingly spacious rooms and then returned to the lobby for dinner. At about 5:00 p.m. we drove to the Ellenton outlet stores and split up to scan the shops and see if there's anything that we like. At 6:00 p.m. we got together again and tried to find the entrance to Apple Bees (we found it in the end).

After our final long driving day our spirits were lifted but we were still so exhausted and some of us crashed (like mum) and some of us held on and then crashed later on (like I'm going to do now!).
