The serene Alpine Meadows Resort at Clearwater

Happy Canada Day! We left the popular Whistler resort bright and early for our long drive to Clearwater. And believe it or not, we stopped at Walmart in Kamloops on the way...we had provisions to purchase! Laundry powder, provisions, suitcases...and of course we had to try the McLobster at McDonalds. No fast food would be complete without a treat. In today's case, poutine with maple and bacon.

We finally arrived at the picturesque Alpine Meadows Resort at 4pm. With the temperature hitting a high of 30 degrees celsius, we decided to make use of the free kayaks by the lake. The staff kindly delivered fishing rods and gear to our cabin so we also able to fish. The day was so long that we had time for the children to play on the play equipment next to the gas BBQ. Dinner was a quick and easy pork skewers with salad, tzatziki and wraps.
