All Aboard

The Disney Wonder. Our ride home

We had been waiting a long time for Disney Cruise Lines to do Australian itineraries and when they finally announced them last year, we did everything we could to snag a cabin. We weren't going to miss the chance to be onboard the Wonder for her first ever entry into magnificent Sydney Harbour.

The time had finally come and excitement was high! We managed to rack up 17,000 steps just exploring the ship on day one. It was hard to decide what to do - the choices were overwhelming. The highlight was winning a Mouseketeer game show and getting a photo with Mickey! That winner's medallion will be worn with pride the whole cruise! The princesses were always great value to chat with and we had fun meeting other cruisers. A fellow cruiser had devised a game where cruisers wore character magnets and they had to find their "match". It was genius because it started conversations left, right and centre. Mainly, we had to explain that no Malcolm's name wasn't Nemo and that he had to find Dory...

Views from our morning walk

Probably all undone by this drink...they usually put 6 pumps of syrup in!! We had to have a minimum of 2 to get the flavour and it was still very sweet.

The pier to board the Disney Wonder

A cruise is not complete without cruise paraphernalia...a talented fellow cruiser made all these!

Custom made water bottle holder complete with zipped compartment and a pocket big enough to hold my phone! She went to the fabric store just to get the print that I wanted!

Cap and shirt. Tick!

Finally onboard. No time to waste. Photo with Chip and Dale

Time for ice-cream

Freebies as castaway club members!

The line for the shops at 4:30pm...waiting for the shops to open to get Australian specific cruise merchandise.

Highlight of the day! Winning a Mouseketeer game show!

There was no consensus as to what this towel origami is...
