The big 6. Apparently rare to get a photo with all of them together. Only on twice the whole length of the cruise |
Random musing from today:
Crossing the equator on a ship is a big deal and that there are all sorts of rituals and ceremonies associated with it. An equator-crossing virgin is known as a Pollywog and experienced crossers are known as shellbacks. There was a ceremony at noon to induct the newbies and we all received certificates. The official crossing occurred at 10:45pm and was celebrated with a deck party with nerds checking that the ship's display matches the GPS tracking that they were using. The ship passed. We did indeed cross the equator at the equator when the big screen said that we did...
Grown American Disney fans can throw the most spectacular tantrums complete with tears. The incident that sparked the outburst...a character photo opportunity! Or rather the perceived lack of injustice that another family behind them was allowed an extra photo when they were not. Sheesh!
To our great disbelief, we continue to be mediocre at trivia. Although our results were steadily improving with recruitment of Americans and Canadians to our team. So far, in addition to the various Disney trivia, we've also attempted general trivia, ocean trivia, and crossing the equator trivia to no avail.
