The title pretty much summed up the day!
It was another day of involuntary sunrise viewing. Thank you body clock. Whilst theoretically the instammagrable image of working on a balcony with stunning views sounded divine, the reality was that it was more comfortable in my a/c room where I was out of reach of the mosquitos, heat and humidity.
Our bus departed back towards Hanoi at around 1145am but we didn't reach our hotel until almost 6pm due to lunch, a few poorly co-ordinated bladder emptying requirements by the group, and pouring rain.
By then, I was ready to ditch the group (sorry!). I splurged on bánh mì and guava juice for AUD5.50 including delivery fee. Believe it or not, I was sick of coca cola. There I said it. Blasphemy! However, the free drink choice was either coke or beer. Perhaps this was the universe telling me I need to learn to like me. But I digress...reception did the waiting for me in the lobby and brought up my dinner to my room. After that, I booked a 90 minute massage at the hotel spa. Bliss.
Apologies for this hack job of a post. Can you tell I'm tired...
