Tokyo Disneyland

Here are the highlights of our 2 days at Tokyo Disneyland. A great way to end a fabulous 6 weeks in Japan!
Tokyo Disneyland! The last time I visited was in my teens!!!
Characters are just after the entrance to try and "entice" visitors to take a photo so there is not a big rush to the main attractions. We succumbed...

The last Castle ticked off the list! Then Shanghai opened. Darn you Shanghai Disneyland...

Time for lunch!

My beloved Shelley May bag!

The number of aliens and green hatted people have multiplied

Did you know you can canoe around the Rivers of America? There was no wait...wonder why

Poor Pocahontas. All the Japanese ignored her and went for the racoon.

Snacks snacks snacks!

Pizza spring rolls

Frozen Fantasy churros...

Frozen parade

The spectcular Once Upon A Time Castle show
Sadly all good things had to come to and end :( There was a little boy who desperately did NOT want to go home. We left home with only 2 full suitcases and left Japan with 5....we bought a lot

Goodbye Japan! Let's go Olaf. We'll take you back to summer!

Tokyo DisneySea

The gorgeous Tokyo DisneySea. Fort Exploration with Mount Prometheus in the background

We spent our first 2 days at DisneySea. As resort guests, we were entitled to "Happy 15" ie enter the parks 15 minutes before other non-resort guests. We started lining up about 45 minutes before our entitled entry time and there was already a reasonable line (although manageable) despite the grey drizzle. After 15 minutes, the line had ballooned out.

To save time, I will resist from a detailed daily account...instead I've compiled a selection of photos to higlight various aspects of our 2 days at DisneySea. This will account for the mixture of grey and blue skies...If you wish to read more about our thoughts on the planning side, I've written a separate post to keep all the information together. I've also visited DisneySea solo back in 2013.

Detailed theming everywhere

This picture was taken mid morning in the supposedly one of the lowest activity period midweek. Go figure!

Trying to do as the locals do - osori code = wearing matching outfits. The Japanese take it to a whole new level. Worth googling!

The best effort from the boys
Little green men dumplings!

And yes our Japanese gondolieri sang an Italian tune!

Flounder!

Unfortunately our lunch at Ristorante di Canaletto had to be indoors because of the cold

It would have been amazing in warmer weather
