Tokyo Disneyland

The highly popular ride Enchanted Tale of Beauty & The Beast

Our time at Tokyo Disney had come to an end. We had a partial day to spend at Tokyo Disneyland before our evening flight to Honolulu. Hilton kindly gave us a late checkout of 1pm so the aim was to go hard in the morning come back and have a quick shower, check out, and enjoy the last couple of hours back at the park before catching our airport shuttle.

I particularly wanted to note how much the Japanese love their theme parks. They embrace everything so wholeheartedly. It was so nice to see them clap so enthusiastically, wave with real vigour and just generally be in good spirits! It made the parks so much more enjoyable.

Disneyland was noticeably busier than Disney Sea yesterday. Perhaps the weather played a part, nonetheless, despite being there earlier today, we were further back in the line for entry. Today, the park opened at 0815...a whole 45 minutes earlier than scheduled. I felt sorry for those who came aiming for 9am because by then, the lines inside were already crazy!

We had very particular rides to go for and essentially ignored half the park...It was a fun day of shopping, eating, and going for key rides. We managed to get back to the Hilton by 1226 which was a feat as we were only served our lunch at restaurant Hokusai at 1205! We did get enough time to shower, repack and check out. We returned to the park for one last hurrah on Space mountain, some last minute castle photos and returned once more to the Hilton to pick up our luggage and get the airport shuttle to Haneda airport.

Our matching outfit effort for today

We thought we did well arriving at 0713

But by the time we got to the correct security line at 0718, we were faced with this!

We got to our spot in the line for entry at 0728...

The people behind us at 0743!

I had to "guide-walk" Malcolm through this as he was entering his cc details while walking so we could purchase premier pass access

We made it to our first ride intact

A cute ride with torches for spotting monsters

Then it was all about Baymax!

It really was a happy ride. The music was infectiously fun and the cast members had so much energy!!

There was much Baymax merchandise to purchase

I mean why stop at one!

The entrance to Enchanted Tales of Beauty & the beast.

Another Japanese favourite. Pooh's Hunny Hunt

The sun is out so it is time for a castle photo!

Restaurant Hokusai. The inside decor was a little disappointingly boring

My chirashi don. I just realised I forgot to take photo with the lids off...

The line to enter the cafe that sells...

Baymax curry!!

When in Japan, the soda of choice for a float is of course melon flavoured

I have to mention our most amazing bus driver, who accidentally told us that the bus stopped at Terminal 3 when in fact it didn't. He proceeded to drive us especially to Terminal 3 as he said he had already said he would! What a kind and helpful guy! He saved us having to shuttle ourselves with our bevy of suitcases from one terminal to another. We had such a good day today, and this just tipped our happiness meter over the top!

The rest of our Haneda airport experience was good. Check in was super quick, as was security. Immigration was similar to Australia's DIY automated machines. JAL Seaview lounge was quite lovely. It was spacious and the food to order was nice. The Japanese set hit the spot and Mal reported that his ginger pork was good too. We're now just waiting to board our flight to Honolulu. Until tomorrow!

Super spacious

All the seats that we did see had powerpoints

Made to order food

My Japanese set. Looks small but it was more than enough. Delicious!
