Today was another low key day of enjoying Verona so I'll keep it brief. We were headed to the Giusti Gardens. Unfortunately for us, the bridge that was the most direct route was closed, and we were too lazy to detour...so more shopping it was! And La Dolce Vita would not be complete without a nap...
We met up with the Yoongs for a very fun gelato class. As a group, we made chocolate, coffee, cream, and yoghurt gelatos, as well as rock melon sorbet. However, after having the 5th cup of gelato that we made, we were close to dying from a sugar coma. Having "additions" for our gelatos made the tasting more interesting. We could choose from salt, cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, pink peppercorn, amaretto biscuits, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and pistacchio. Surprisingly olive oil and balsamic actually tasted good on some of the gelato flavours!
We finally managed to try a horse dish for dinner! The verdict...tastes like beef!

Fried gnocchi. Not really gnocchi but it was so nice. Hot, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. |
